Regarding the conditions for applying to join the United Nations University

The Dean of Faculty Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Maher, confirmed

A number of conditions must be met for everyone who wishes to apply through the university’s official website to join the United Nations University, which are as follows:

To be a graduate of a prestigious and recognized international university.

Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral degrees must be obtained through regular study in the required specialty

He must have experience in the required field.

It is preferable to have distinguished scientific contributions, which include:

(Research published in international scientific periodicals or journals).

Anyone applying for the rank of professor and associate professor must have at least two research papers in the global Scopus database in the last two years.

To be proficient in the English language and use computer skills and electronic blended learning skills.

Priority in appointment is given to the best according to the standards approved by the university.

The university reserves the right not to fill vacancies and anyone who will be nominated will be contacted.

In the event of applying for similar positions in more than one college, the first nomination approved by the competent authority shall be relied upon, provided that this candidate is excluded from the rest of the other colleges.

 

As for the required papers and documents specified by the university administration, all those wishing to apply must upload one file with the papers to the application website in PDF format, which are as follows:

• Submitting the applicant’s CV and previous teaching experiences and duration approved by one of the recognized university colleges.

• Bachelor’s degree certificate indicating the general grade, total grade, and year of graduation.

• A statement of grades and overall grades for years of study.

• Scientific certificates obtained by the applicant

“Master’s” or “PhD”

(In the same specialization required) or its equivalent from a university in a subject that qualifies him to fill the position, or he must have obtained a degree from another university, scientific body, or recognized scientific institute.

• A copy of theses and scientific research for the applicant for the position of teacher.

• A copy of scientific and practical experiences (if any).

• A copy of the scientific research published or accepted for publication.

• A recent personal photo with a white background.

• A copy of the personal ID / a copy of the passport.

• A copy of the birth certificate.

•    Criminal record.

 

• Anyone who meets the conditions and has all the necessary qualifications can apply immediately for jobs on the university’s website, provided that the application window closes on October 30, 2023.

The Faculty Affairs Administration will not consider applications received after the end of the deadline or that do not meet the stated conditions.
